The pattern is the One-Piece Baby Kimono from the book Mason-Dixon Knitting.
I made it out of Mission Falls 1824 wool in colorway 535 on size 6 / 4.0 mm needles.
I put the ribbon and sweater through the washer and dryer separately before sewing them together in case there was a difference in shrinkage between them. I love this yarn and have used it before, but this was the first time I have put it through the washer and dryer. It is soft and lovely to start with, but is now SO SOFT!
I call it the metacam sweater because I was working on it at my workplace (I'm a veterinarian) and I was carrying it through the pharmacy. I noticed that it is the exact same colour as the packaging for the dog and cat anti-inflammatory Metacam.
I'm fairly happy with it. I did some garter stitch on the bottom to decrease rolling, which I like. The seaming of the sleeves is fairly lumpy, but it doesn't bother me enough to want to redo it.
I get to go see my niece for the first time this Thursday and I'm so excited! Isn't she the cutest thing?
